Time to Talk was created in 2004. As I revisit so many of my pieces in my 50th year, I am always amazed at the new insights that arise. I see two people sitting at a table or booth, on the left side of the painting. I see people in the white and black areas that are on the other side of the restaurant. At the time I painted this piece, I was dealing with major shifts in many friendships that were formed in my early teenaged years. I was redefining personal boundaries, goals and ideals. It was Time to Talk.
